On October 28, 2007, the Confucius Institute at Prince of Songkla University held the "Chinese Language Teaching Seminar for primary and middle schools", Chinese language teachers from 15 primary and middle schools of Songkla attended the seminar. Subjects included "Chinese language teaching methods for primary and middle schools", "teaching skills and application of information in the classroom", and "Chinese language teaching and Chinese culture", and a discussion on the materials suitable for the primary and middle schools of Thailand.
The Chinese teachers from different schools exchanged their ideas on Chinese language teaching methods, the problems they met in Chinese teaching, and the multimedia information they use plus the selection and edition of Chinese textbooks. Also, they shared their teaching experience with each other, and put forward many valuable comments and suggestions.

The Confucius Institute answered the questions the teachers raised in detail, and explained the important relationship between Chinese language teaching and Chinese culture. The teachers stated that the meeting strengthened the communication and contact between them, playing an important role in further promoting teaching methods for Chinese language teachers and the quality of Chinese teaching.
