Confucius Institute-Michigan State University was founded in May 2006 in collaboration with China Central Radio and TV University. This institute aims to be the first online Confucius Institute in the world, to provide web-based Chinese teaching programs and teacher training programs.The Executive Advisory Committee of Confucius Institute-Michigan State University consists of the presidents of the two universities, the dean Of the institute and other related principals.Services:Teaching activities in Confucius Institute-Michigan State University mainly contains two parts: one is to develop and explore the market of web-based Chinese courseware and materials, the other Chinese teacher training programs.Future Development:The institute will develop a set of Chinese audio-visual learning materials. Most of these materials will be broadcasted at the end of July. The institute will also develop a series of Chinese web-based courseware, and explore the market  through the platform of Michigan Virtual High School. The institute will develop a series of teacher training materials. At the same time, the institute will give aids to train Chinese teachers and arrange the exchange programs between Michigan’s and China’s teachers and students. The institute plans to develop a virtual platform For  Both Chinese teaching volunteers and overseas Chinese learners.
