Confucius Institute at Hokuriku University(Japan)

Brief Introduction：Confucius Institute at Hokuriku University was formally founded at the beginning of this year and activities were launched soon after. The teaching and office buildings equipped with the most advanced equipments for long- distance teaching are provided by Hokuriku University. The institute currently has over 160 students. China and Japan are everlasting next-door neighbors .The Confucius Institute at Hokuriku University is determined to be a brilliant bridge which is promoting the mutual understanding and friendship between China and Japan. Services：To cater to the needs of the society, our Chinese courses are divided into introductory, primary, intermediate and advanced levels. In addition, there are ten other Chinese courses for conversation, listening, touring Chinese and simultaneous interpretation. Moreover, we aim to expand Chinese education into local senior high schools, where a tutor will be there weekly. Confucius lnstitute has also join hands with our pharmacy department to hold lectures and seminars on Chinese medicine. Future Development：Various kinds of culture courses, such as Chinese movie appreciation Chinese folk dance violin, Beijing opera, table tennis, and Chinese cooking have started. Besides, Hokuriku University works in cooperation with Chinese universities and is preparing to translate and publish a large-scale Chinese cultural and academic book series.
