Professor Kristofer Schipper (born 1934) is Member of the Royal Netherlands Academy of Arts and Sciences. He organized and edited the first complete scientific study of the 1500 works contained in the Daoist Canon of the Ming Dynasty. In June 2008, professor Schipper gave a wonderful lecture entitled “Chinese History and its Global Significance” in Peking University.
